Hobie Cat 40th Anniversary
Hard to believe, but this year Hobie Cat is celebrating 40 years since Hobie Alter built and delivered his first boat, the Hobie 14 catamaran. What a legacy he created, and what an honor (and great fun!) it has been for the Hobie team to build his success into the thriving, diverse company we are now.
The 40th Anniversary Hobie Cat Regatta will commemorate this milestone on Saturday, October 4 through Sunday, October 5, 2008 in Dana Point, California, very near "where it all started". In addition to the Regatta, there will be a huge party with food and a band on Saturday night at Doheny Beach. Kayak demos, a volleyball tournament, dory races and stand-up paddle board races are also on tap. All of our dealers are cordially invited to participate in the festivities.
