Rigging Class- This is a great class for sailors that may have just purchase a boat from a private party and aren’t quite sure how to rig it and/or want to be sure that everything on the boat is in order. The rigging class is about 2-3 hours long (depending on the boat), it is taught at our store in White Bear Lake using the students boat. Students may bring with them any number of addition people they may want at no extra charge. The class fee is $95. Classes are usually 2-3 hours in length. This class is included free with the purchase of a new boat.
Overview: Class covers proper trailering procedures, mast stepping, rudder/tiller systems. Jib and main sail rigging, boom, traveler, mainsheet and mainsheet blocks, proper daggerboard use, mast rotation, sail shaping and wind indicator use, righting a capsized sailboat or catamaran, tacking, gybing and beaching the boat.
